Solar Panel Manufacturers Gain Advantage from Nuclear Incident in Japan

The nuclear disasters that happened in Japan in the Fukushima plant have made the Japanese people get bad views about nuclear plant power. The nuclear plant had an incident in the Fukushima area of Japan, which was earlier a major source of electricity generation, but now such dead and crippled form of a nuclear waste plant. Hence the citizens of Japan wish that Japan should be free of any such nuclear plants so that the disasters don’t turn into a bad shape. In this article, we brief upon the same idea.

Nuclear plants have had a bad shape in Japan. The citizens of Japan are of the opinion that the nuclear plants are not 100 percent safe. Since the nuclear plants depict the qualities of being so frail, the Japanese people in conjunction prefer them to be eliminated entirely from their home country. Instead, they do not mind shelling out an extra few bucks to spend US $6000 and make use of solar panels’ electricity generation mechanism. This is due to the concern that is arisen out of the nuclear disasters that can happen in future and affect the future generations.

Citizens in Japan are planning and are very much motivated in order to start the anti-nuclear movements so that the nuclear plants can be abolished. This is happening in the wake of the worlds biggest nuclear incident that has shook the world about the ill-effects of nuclear disasters in Japan. Due to this behavior of the Japanese people and the incidents at the nuclear plants that have happened in Japan earlier, it is creating a great amount of opportunity for the solar panel manufacturing companies like Panasonic Corp. and Sharp Corp. to manufacture more and more solar panels owing to the market demands in their home country itself.

Hence the solar panels’ manufacturing companies are getting a drive to manufacture large number of solar panels and market them with a point of view that the nuclear disasters are bad and people should switch over to the solar panels as soon as possible. The analysts at these two companies share the opinion with the public that they estimate an accumulated number of orders from Japan in the next decade for the solar panel products to more than US $100 billion. This is after the estimated costs per household are brought down owing to the huge nature of its demand.

There is a straight forward opinion from the people that they can no longer be dependent on the nuclear power or power derived by burning of the fossil fuels. The solar panels are also too expensive for the consumers to be availed. But when it comes to the ill-effects in Japan about the nuclear disasters, it can be clearly stated that they are worth an investment. On top of that, it is very much evident that the solar panels cannot run without being offered with any subsidies in the market.

If the Japanese government had a plan to scrap the nuclear power generation plants completely and instead of them make use of the solar panels to every household, commercial applications everywhere, it is estimated that it would require well over 108 gig watts of photovoltaic generation by the end of 2020. Now this is a huge number in terms of the power generation for a small country like Japan. This means that the market for the solar panel manufacturers is excellent.

Thus we can see that the nuclear disasters that have been happening and that have happened recently in Japan have been proven to be a boon to the solar panel manufacturers due to the increased market demand.
